The annual report for 2023 to 2024 has been delivered to the international World Health Organization. The focus is on implementation on preventive activities for noncommunicable diseases, and the activities are closely related to the WHO manual on brief intervention.

– We have developed and delivered a successful education module regarding evaluation and implementation, which should go hand in hand and be data-driven. In addition, we have been working on collecting the evidence for brief intervention aiming at coexistent risky lifestyle factors such as alcohol, smoking, obesity, malnutrition, and physical inactivity. All the activities have been performed in collaboration with national and international partners, including other collaborating Centres. The intention is that these new materials will help to support implementation of evidence-based prevention of noncommunicable diseases in the future, says Hanne Tönnesen, Professor, Director of Clinical Health Promotion Centre at Lund University.
